Structure of an Evolving Hailstorm : Series of Papers / by NHRE Staff and Participants

This report analyzes the detailed structure and evolution of radar echoes observed in a multicellular hailstorm. Part I describes general environmental conditions, overall radar echo development and precipitation measurements in a particular event which was thoroughly observed by several different field facilities of the National Hail Research Experiment. Part II addresses a diverse set of mesoscale observations collected in connection with an evolving Colorado hailstorm to determine the kinematic and thermodynamic structure of the nearenvironmental and subcloud regimes.
