Particulate Models: Their Validity and Application; A Workshop Held at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Boulder, Colorado, 21 August 1970

A workshop on particulate models was held at NCAR in Boulder, Colorado on 21 August 1970 to create more realistic models of atmospheric particulates that are required for radiation and optical studies as well as for an understanding of atmospheric pollution. This report summarizes the lectures and talks given at the workshop and provides a comprehensive assessment of the state of the art. Part one covers aerosol measurements, theoretical models of aerosols, and the optical properties of aerosols. Part two covers hydrometeor models, stratospheric aerosols and a summary of general discussion.
