Objective Analysis on Isentropic Surfaces

A developing need for highly accurate analyses for isentropic trajectory calculations has resulted in revising approaches to generating objective analyses on isentropic surfaces. Two factors contributing to generating better analyses by computer programs are the elimination of time saving approximations and the utilization of a new objective analysis technique developed by Amos Eddy (University of Oklahoma) which enables better use of the actual radiosonde data.
