SNACS Atmospheric Model: source code and configuration files

This dataset archives the SNACS Polar MM5 atmospheric model code and settings for the 50km simulations. If you uncompress and then untar the file, you'll have a directory called MM5 which will contain all of the source code and four configuration files. Data generated by the model includes: date (yyyy-mm-dd in *_avg.txt file and yyyy-mm-dd_hh in *_3h.txt file) (UTC) psfc - surface pressure (mb) slp - sea level pressure (mb) tg - ground temperature (K) t2m - 2m air temperature (K) q2m - 2m water vapor mixing ratio (kg/kg) ws10 - 10m wind speed (m/s) wd - 10m wind direction (deg) ust - friction velocity, u* (m/s) lhf - latent heat flux (W/m^2) shf - sensible heat flux (W/m^2) grnf - ground heat flux (W/m^2) swd - downwelling shortwave radiation at surface (W/m^2) swu - upwelling shortwave radiation at surface (W/m^2) alb - albedo (fraction) lwd - downwelling longwave radiation at surface (W/m^2) lwu - upwelling longwave radiation at surface (W/m^2) p3h - accumulated precipitation (24h in *_avg.txt file and 3h in *_3h.txt file) (cm) swe - snow water equivalent (mm) cld_frac - cloud fraction (fraction)
