North American Regional Climate Change Assessment Program (NARCCAP) Dataset

Abstract

The NARCCAP data archive contains output from 6 regional climate models (RCMs) run over a domain covering most of North America using boundary conditions from 4 different global climate models (GCMs) in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 3 (CMIP3) archive and from National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) reanalysis. The simulations run from 1970-2000 and 2040-2070 with a spatial resolution of 50 km. Data is available at 3-hourly frequency for 35 impacts-relevant surface variables and 7 3-D variables in Climate and Forecast (CF)-compliant Network Common Data Form (netCDF) format.
