TOGA COARE soundings from Hong Kong

Abstract

This dataset consists of sounding data from King's Park, Hong Kong (WMO 45004) which was operated by the Hong Kong Royal Observatory. Soundings were taken twice daily (00 and 12 UTC) during the IOP. UCAR/JOSS conducted no quality control on these data. This dataset inlcudes pressure, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and altitude taken at 10 second vertical intervals. See station README file for details. NOTE: This dataset has been updated (4/30/2002) with corrected data for the humidity measurement errors of the Vaisala RS 80 radiosonde (Wang et al 2002). Please see the README for additional information.
