The Bendix Datagrid Graphic Digitizing System Operational Procedure and Available Software

Abstract

In April of 1970 a Bendix Datagrid digitizer was acquired by the Computing Facility at NCAR. The system enables data presented in a graphic form to be translated into digital (X,Y) coordinates and it enables the operator to record other information such as data related to identification and orientation, isopleth values and instructions for subsequent processing. This report includes the following chapters: Datagrid operator instructions, Keyboard instructions for the Datagrid system, Datagrid prepass program, Contour interpolation program, and Grid transformation program.
