NCEP MRF Back Trajectory Imagery for R/V Discoverer Transit
7.401
This dataset contains Back trajectories for the R/V Discoverer. These trajectories were calculated with the NOAA HYSPLIT 3.2 code using the NMC Global Data Assimilation System Medium Range Forecast model (MRF). 9-day back trajectories are computed at 00Z and 12Z daily, originating at the ship with a source altitude of 100 m and an averaging period of 24 hrs. This dataset contains GIF images of each trajectory. A companion dataset includes ASCII listings of latitude, longitude, and pressure for each trajectory point.
