Sensitivity of radiation to soil moisture modulations of dust emissions

Abstract

The data includes: Hourly WRF-Chem simulations over contiguous U.S. (CONUS) of the aerosol optical depth and the clear sky direct normal irradiance with different levels of dust emissions (five) for the year of 2015. Monthly and yearly data of the radiative balance over CONUS at the surface, atmosphere and top of the atmosphere for the shortwave, longwave, and net radiation. This is calculated for WRF-Chem simulations with different dust emission levels and also with a positive and a negative anomaly in the soil moisture.
