These experimental data were generated by the CESM 1.1 coupled model. The purpose of this experiment is to synch the model's internal variability with the observed tropical Pacific variability, capturing anomalies associated with the El Nino - Southern Oscillation and Pacific Decadal Oscillation. SST anomalies in the tropical eastern Pacific (20N-20S,180-80W) were nudged to ERSSTv3b observations and time-evolving radiative forcing was prescribed. The external forcing is the same as for the CESM 1.1. Large Ensemble, except that ozone is from the SPARC dataset, not from WACCM. The data span 1920-2013. The historical part of the ensemble covers 1920-2005 under compset B20TRLENS while the 2006-2013 period was forced by RCP 8.5 under copmpset BRCP85LENS. All fields are available at monthly resolution and selected fields are available at daily resolution. This record represents all members of a 10-member ensemble.
