Abstract

This data set contains vertical profiles of horizontal wind speed and direction and vertical velocity from the Halo Streamline Doppler Lidar that was deployed as part of the OU/NSSL CLAMPS system at Belle Mina, Alabama during the VORTEX-SE 2016 field campaign. This doppler lidar was deployed on 2 March 2016 and collected data until 9 March when it failed. Starting on 11 March the NOAA/ATDD doppler lidar was deployed beside the CLAMPS system for the remainder of the 2016 field season. Those data are available as the Companion data set listed below. These data are in NetCDF format.
