Chemical (Atmospheric) and Biological Measurements in Panama. Volume 1: General
This report presents the chemical measurements made by the Atmospheric Chemistry Group of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) for the project, Trace Chemistry of Tropical Atmospheres. This volume describes the project and the 34 sampling sites used for chemical and biological sampling (most of which are in the Canal Zone). NCAR's objectives were to: (1) measure existing concentrations of trace atmospheric constituents in the tropics; (2) determine characteristics of the chemical reactions occurring in the atmosphere of the humid tropics; and (3) characterize the sinks and sources of trace atmospheric constituents in the tropics. This report was originally published in five volumes. Volume 1 is digitized in two parts. Volumes 2 through 5 are OUT OF PRINT.
